The Creativity Symposium – Oxford Brookes University, Oxford
A joint event with the Creativity Group
This event was intended to share creative ideas and practices in teaching and learning. It was opened by Prof Rob Pope, whose more recent work in the field of 'English Studies' focuses on the interdisciplinary possibilities of the subject, particularly in relation to creativity, language and cultural studies.
The two-day event was attended by experienced teacher trainers and writers, such as Alan Maley and Jane Spiro, as well as practitioners and TESOL students and had in the programme a diversity of talks and workshops on creative writing, performance, dance and visual arts.
